Press Conference - 17/11/2024

Ethan Lawes said he is 'buzzing' as he anticipates this evening's clashes at Hollywell Rubbercrumb.

The interim manager also spoke about the performance against Fire Fox FC, and the latest on Ben Loebus & Kieran McCoy.

Here's a full transcript from his press conference at our training ground...

on Ed Scott's hat-trick against Fire Fox FC:

Incredible. Of course, we know what he's capable of, but being able to put a performance in like that in his first start of the season is so impressive. It's given me a selection headache!

on the several goal scorers against Fire Fox:

We can create chances from anywhere on the pitch, it's really encouraging. We don't rely on any individuals, and the final action usually leads to goals, we look really good going forward at the moment.

on the lack of clean sheets:

They'll come. It's hard to keep full focus for 35 minutes but we're giving ourselves a great platform by being so strong defensively. There'll be more clean sheets by season's end.

on balancing two fixtures for the first time in weeks:

I'm buzzing. The lads just want to play football. We've got enough availability, and with the form we're in at the moment, we should be leaving with three points in both games.

on fixture congestion with IMS games:

Yeah, got quite a few lads playing for their halls, often the day before our games. It's just something we have to deal with.

on the opponents' defensive records:

Again, we've proved that we can create from anywhere on the pitch. They'll be harder to break down than Fire Fox, for sure, but if we win our duels and make the right decisions in the final third, we'll win.

on any updates regarding Ben Loebus and Kieran McCoy:

Ben [Loebus] is getting there. I can't give much of a time frame though, to be honest, we're just going week by week.

And [Kieran] McCoy is still waiting for a scan on his knee, again we're hoping for the best, but don't have any updates to give at the moment.

on Adam Kenyon and Mason Murray being seen clubbing the night before a game, and any potential sanctions:
